We urgently need to rethink mental health for children and young people. Timely will be designing tools to help.

The Problem
We’re dealing with a global mental health crisis.

Studies show that one in five children and young people aged between eight and 25 have been living with a probable mental health disorder in 2023.

Getting them the help they need is difficult, because it can be hard to spot mental health problems developing and there’s often not enough funding or staff to cope with the demand.

Our Solution
Timely is a project that will look at ways to help young people get the support they need, and make it a faster, more efficient, and equitable process.

It will focus on developing a range of easy to use digital and AI tools which will make spotting and supporting mental health issues in young people easier.

We plan to use routinely collected data to create tools and help guide professionals in identifying young people who may be struggling with mental health issues so that they get help faster.
